Welcome to the DearS fanclub. This is a club for everyone who loves the DearS anime, manga or game! So, please...come and join!

Featured Affiliate

For those who don't know what an affiliate is, clubs link to one another to help promote each other's clubs... that's an affiliate. It's basically a way of letting people know about your club.

Anyways, we have a LOT of clubs we affiliate with.. some are not active but there are some that are, and I know not many people look at our affiliates page really carefully so I thought it'd be a good idea to have a Featured Affiliate. That way you guys can learn a little about some of these clubs. The current Featured Affiliate is the ~ChobitsLoversFanClub. This club is actually run by one of our members and is fairly new. I know a lot of us who love DearS also love Chobits. ^.^ So if you are interested in joining just go to the link in this journal or in the Featured Affiliate box and follow the directions on their journal. I believe they could also use some help with fanarts for the club gallery.

For those who don't know... the Featured Affiliate box is directly below the Featured Member box on the main DearS-fanclub page

Featured Member

Thank you to everyone who voted on the Featured Member poll. The winner of that poll was =Cafe-Little-Heart so I have her information and thumbs for some of her drawings on there.

You never know what I'm going to use to choose the people that you can vote for... so if you would like to be featured, stay active in the club. ^.^ You never know when your name might end up on one of those polls.

Contest Extension

Remember the last date to turn in contest submissions is October 1st. It may take me a couple of days to post everything because I have a wedding the day after that, but as soon as possible after October 1st, I'll post all the entrees into the gallery and start the vote!

In case anyone doesn't know how to enter:
1) Upload your drawing to your deviantart profile
2) Send the club a note with a link to your entry
3) Wait...
Hehe, I'll do the rest, don't worry. Entries will be uploaded to the club gallery in the order they were received as "Contest Entry #.." Cosplay drawings will have information as to who the DearS character(s) is cosplaying. No mention will be made of artists until after the contest is over.

Prize artists and those that help with the club are also allowed to enter.

For more information on the theme or anything else about the contest, look below at the "current or latest contest or event" box.

2 Themes to Choose From, you can do either one OR if you want you can use both themes in your entry.
1) Cosplay
2) Couples
Entries must be drawings, they can be done traditionally or digitally.

Rules

1) NO HENTAI
2) One entry per club member.
3) Only standard club members are allowed to enter.
4) Entries must be received by the due date.
5) Entries will be anonymous, posted in club gallery. Please do not post anywhere on the club site which entry is yours.
6) When you send in your entry, you are giving permission for the *DearS-fanclub to pst it in their gallery.

Prizes

Prizes will be based on how many entries there are. If there are 15+ entries the prizes will be:
1st Place- 1 YEAR subscription, 1 Prize Art, $10 for DA Print
2nd Place- 3 MONTH subscription, 1 Prize Art, $5 for DA Print
3rd Place- 1 MONTH subscription, 1 Prize Art
Honorable Mention- Prize Art

F.A.Q.

RULES:

Do not harass in anyway a member, or a nonmember of the DearS-fanclub.

Be sure to favorite the artwork at the original link.
After you have become a member, you must follow these rules:

Add the DearS Fanclub icon to your journal.

Be nice to all the other members of the club. Cruelty will not be tolerated.

Make sure you watch the club for updates and such.

HOW TO JOIN:

Please Send a note to the club Stating which membership you have chosen (Either Standard or Patron)! Make sure you read the rules as well!

Please don't ask to become a member on the DearS-fanclub profile, because it may be overlooked.

Membership Choices

Standard Membership:

Will participate in any/all club functions.

May be chosen as the Featured Member for the Profile Page

New artwork will be displayed in the Shoutboard (only one per week per deviant)

Icon will be in Membership area under "Members".

Can submit DearS fanart.

The choice to enter any club contests we have.

The choice to take part in any club collaboration we have.

The right to voice your opinions on how the club is run, and help pick themes for the competitions.

The right to vote in any of the club competitions we have.

An expectation to +watch the club and put either a link to the club in either your journal or signature.

Patron Membership

Icon will be in Membership area under "Patrons".

Unlike standard members, patron members are not allowed to submit fanart or enter into club contests.

When you send a note to sign up, be sure to state which Membership you want, Standard or Patron!
Any one who sends a note that does not have either "Standard Membership" or "Patron Membership" will not be able to join the club until one is chosen and stated in a note, so make sure you read this before you sign up, or else you will be sent a note directing you back to the F.A.Q.!

Adding The Icon To Your Journal

To add the icon to the journal, just type : icon DearS-fanclub : without the spaces to your journal entry. You could also put : dev DearS-fanclub : without the spaces; it should look like *DearS-fanclub

To submit fanart, send a Note with "Fanart." or "submission" in the title and the link to your artwork.

I want to be a Club Artist, can I be one?

Sure! But first ask yourself if you

have the time to create art for other people after competitions, and

if you think your art is at a level where other people would actually like to win it
Keep in mind.
We do not chose who can or cannot be a club artist, you must decide for yourself if your art is at the level where people want to Win it, and if You have the time.
Also, the Winner choses, which artist they want to request their prize from, not the club.
In addition, if the artist feels in anyway threatened or uncomfortable by the request they have the right to refuse. Another artist will be appointed to the request.

How to Affiliate

How To Become A Biter

Send the club a with ' Biter ' as the subject, and ask to become a biter. The club will do some RESEARCH to see how active you are, and if you are chosen, it will be posted Here.

It does not matter how old or new of a member to the DearS-fanclub you are, as long as you are an active, DEDICATED deviant!

Biter Descriptions
Biters keep the club and Sheep strong and in order.

Recruiter biters: Recruiter biters do what their name says: Recruit. You ask people nicely if they are interested in joining the club, and give them some details about it. Send the club a note that You Recruited Somone.

Advertising biters: If your very sociable, this biter job is for you! Just Advartise the club by placing a link to it in your SIGNATURE, or talk about it in some CHATROOMS.

Maintanence biters: If you go to the club alot, and it has not been updated in a while, your job is to tell the Administrators! For the most immediate response, EMAIL the Moderator. If you see something wrong with the club, or if something should be removed or reported you must contact the MODERATOR. Also contact the moderator if you see: harrasment in the club; bad links; members that have LEFT or are on a hiatus of 3 weeks or more.

What Ways Can I Be Helpful To The Club?

You can choose to be a biter, or a club artist. These slots are Always open to standard members, not patron. Please only apply if you can dedicate some of your time to the club, this is the only requirement.

You could also donate a subscription to us, or to a winner of a contest.

You could request to be a Contest ADMINISTRATOR.
- A contest administrator would supervise the contest, submit contest entries, ask members to vote, etc.
- A contest administrator would only be ablbe to access the DearS-fanclub account during the contest period.

Please note: you will Not get the clubs password, or be able to moderate the club as the 'administraion' would.
